In my ela class we all began reading the outsiders which is a very good book. After my whole class finished reading the book we all watched the movie and did a comparison of the book and movie.
SIMILARITIES
In the book and in the movie when johnny and ponyboy got jumped it happened by the fountain and they also met cherry and Marcia the same way they did in the book at the drive in movies. Johnny also did cut ponyboys and his hair and he also dyed ponyboys hair blonde.
DIFFERENCES
In the movie the socs were driving around the outsiders territory while cherry and Marcia were with johnny and ponyboy walking and then the socs saw them and pulled up on them but it the book they drove around twice before noticing them. In the book I didn't describe how the parents of ponyboy died but in the movie it showed a scene of them crashing and showed it more in detail.
